These notices describe the licenses for AniGem’s credited reference database and the limits of those licenses.
anime-offline-database
AniGem contains information from anime-offline-database by manami-project, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. Rights in the individual database contents are offered by the source under the Database Contents License (DbCL) 1.0.
The imported reference snapshot is release 2026-27, dated July 4, 2026. The source’s license notice for that release includes both license texts.
Applicable attribution, notice, share-alike, and access requirements continue to apply when a derived database is publicly used or redistributed. The linked license texts set out the complete terms.
What these licenses cover
ODbL covers rights in the database; DbCL addresses rights the licensor can grant in its contents. These notices do not establish permission to reuse every third-party description, linked image, trademark, or other work referenced by a catalog record.
Crunchyroll and HIDIVE listings, official episode guides, and artwork retain their respective ownership and any applicable terms. Their inclusion here does not place them all under the database licenses. See Data credits for the sources AniGem uses.
Your records and the app
These source-data licenses do not license AniGem’s app code or branding. Your saved titles, ratings, watch progress, and notes are your own records and are separate from the imported catalog.
Private cloud sync is optional. Public profiles show the titles and note copies you choose to share. Read the privacy overview for the current development app’s data practices.
