AniGem
Terms of Service · Updated October 14, 2026

A good place to find your next anime.

These Terms describe use of AniGem’s discovery, library, account, and community services, operated by Arturo Hernandez in the United States. Contact support@anigem.app with questions. Our Privacy Policy explains data handling, and our Community rules explain public-content standards.

Who AniGem is for

You must be at least 13, or meet any higher minimum required where you live. If you are not legally old enough to agree to these Terms, use AniGem only with a parent or guardian who agrees with you. AniGem is not intended for children under 13. Store age ratings, local restrictions, and content controls may impose a higher age requirement.

Your account and library

Guest discovery and local library features do not require an account. For online features, provide an email you control, protect your login, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or use their account without permission.

You control your library and whether to use cloud features or publish a copy. Keep an export of anything important, especially during beta testing. Private sync, publication, and account deletion are separate actions; see the Privacy Policy for their effects and limits.

Your contributions

You retain ownership of your notes, comments, and other original contributions. By uploading or publishing them, you give AniGem a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process, and display them only as needed to provide the features you choose, maintain security, and handle reports. This does not give us permission to sell your private writing or use private notes to train an AI model.

Only share material you have permission to use. Do not post unlawful material, threats, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, private personal information about others, spam, or deceptive content. Follow the Community rules and use spoiler controls where available. Other people can read published notes; discussion comments belong on anime pages. There is no direct messaging.

You can edit or remove your contributions using the available controls. When a copy is removed, our permission to display it ends, subject to the limited processing and retention described in the Privacy Policy. We cannot erase independent copies made by others.

Reports and restrictions

Use in-app report and block controls for inappropriate public content or accounts. You may also contact support, including to appeal a moderation decision. Reports can be reviewed by the operator. Automated text checks are being rolled out with a compatible app update; they can make mistakes. We may remove content or restrict public posting or account access when necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with law. A restriction does not remove your ability to request your data or account deletion.

Do not attempt to access another person’s private data, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, automate abuse, or misuse authentication and recovery features. Responsible reports of security problems are welcome at support; avoid accessing or disclosing other users’ information.

Catalog and streaming services

AniGem helps you discover and track anime. It does not stream, download, or sell access to episodes. Provider availability, languages, episode counts, ratings, artwork, and other metadata can change or be incomplete. Recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees that you will enjoy a show or that it is suitable for every viewer.

Provider links open third-party services, which have their own accounts, subscriptions, regional availability, terms, and privacy practices. AniGem is not affiliated with or endorsed by those providers. Third-party titles, artwork, and trademarks belong to their owners. See Data credits and Licenses; attribution does not grant additional rights to third-party material. Rights holders can contact support about a listing or removal request.

Beta availability and Apple distribution

AniGem is currently a TestFlight beta. Features may change, contain errors, or become unavailable, and beta builds may expire. The current beta does not offer paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. Any future paid offering will have its own clear price and terms before purchase.

Apple’s applicable distribution and TestFlight terms also apply. For copies distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies unless a separate applicable app license is supplied. These service Terms do not replace Apple’s license or limit rights that cannot legally be waived. Apple is not responsible for operating AniGem’s account and community services; contact AniGem for those issues.

Leaving, changes, and your rights

You can stop using AniGem, withdraw public copies, and delete your online account from Settings → Account. Export anything you want to keep first. Removing the app alone does not delete an online account. The Privacy Policy explains device copies, support messages, and provider retention.

We will date changes to these Terms and provide appropriate notice of material changes. These Terms do not waive mandatory consumer protections or statutory privacy rights. Contact support to resolve a concern. No arbitration requirement, class-action waiver, or special court venue is imposed by these service Terms.
